Fish Legal

Fish Legal uses the law to fight pollution and other damage to fisheries on behalf of its member clubs, fisheries and riparian owners.  It is linked to The Angling Trust.

Gwent Angling Society

GAS offers a good range of fishing in South East Wales.  In addition it offers the development of skills training and environmental awareness.

Merthyr Tydfil Angling Association

MTAA offers a superb range of fishing in beautiful surroundings, and for many different fishing styles and species.  The Association owns three miles of the Usk between Crickhowell and Abergavenny – namely Mardy, Ysbytty and Kemeys — one mile of the Tarrell at Libanus and approximately fifteen miles of the  Taf Fechan/Taff.  In addition it controls by lease numerous reservoirs (Pontsticill, Dolygaer, Neuadd and Talybont) and ponds.

NRW is a Welsh Government Sponsored Body. Our purpose is to ensure that the natural resources of Wales are sustainably maintained, enhanced and used, now and in the future.

Salmon & Trout Association

S&TA campaigns for the conservation, protection and sustainable management of an aquatic environment capable of supporting an abundance of indigenous fish species, invertebrates, animals and plant life — from source to sea.

The Angling Trust

The Angling Trust is the new, single organisation to represent all game, coarse and sea anglers and angling in England. We lobby government, campaign on environmental and angling issues and run national and international competitions. We fight pollution, commercial over-fishing at sea, over-abstraction, poaching, unlawful navigation, local bans and a host of other threats to angling.

The Rivers Trust

The main aims of RT are, “to co-ordinate, represent and develop the aims and interests of the member Trusts in the promotion of sustainable, holistic and integrated catchment management and sound environmental practices, recognising the wider economic benefits for local communities and the value of education”. It covers England and Wales.

Each webcam shows a live image of the gauge at the top, with four images taken at set times of the day beneath. This enables you to compare the current height with those recorded earlier. Don’t forget to update the page (press F5) if you keep it open. You will need to have a few trials to relate this to your own section of the river.

The Wye & Usk Foundation

WUF is a registered charity concerned with ecology and, more specifically, restoring the habitat, water quality and fisheries of the rivers Wye and Usk.

In addition, you can book various types of fishing through its booking office.
