Safeguarding the future of the river Usk
There are some 147 beats along the course of the river Usk. In yester year, fishermen would fish the same beat on the same day of the week throughout the season. In 2003, the advent of the Passport Scheme run by the Wye and Usk Foundation opened up fishing all along the river and enables fishermen to gain access to fishing on the majority of the river.
